The world of beauty and cosmetics can be a confusing one, there are so many words and phrases that are completely lost to you. Like what the hell is a cut crease? and what’s the difference between a shader brush and a blending brush? Well don’t worry you no longer have to ponder these questions, here are 10 beauty words and phrases defined!
- Strobing: (verb)
“To place highlighter in large amounts to the high points of your face (particularly along the cheekbone) to make features pop without the use of heavy contouring.
2. Baking: (verb)
“To set a thick layer of concealer with a layer of powder you allow to sit on the skin before dusting the majority of it away.”
3. Cut Crease: (noun)
“When applying eye shadow only in either the natural crease or drawing a line (cutting) just above the crease, very defined and sharp, creating a separation between the actual lid and the upper eye area then blending that line outward towards the brow. This also can make your lid appear bigger making the eyes seem bigger.”
4. Squareletto: (adjective)
“An up-and-coming nail shape that is super long, like stiletto nails, but squared off at the tip.”
5. Hit Pan: (verb)
